Cog railway Tanvald - Kořenov - Harachov

The Tanvald – Kořenov – Harrachov cog railway is the steepest railway line in Czechia. The builders used a rack, a toothed belt between the tracks, into which the cogwheel of the locomotive fits. Regular trains no longer need the rack, but thanks to the Tanvald Railway Company, you can take a nostalgic ride on a train with a unique rack locomotive and visit our museum exhibition in Kořenov.
